This is the 2021 Iso Rivolta GTZ by independent coachbuilding company, Zagato, a two-door sports car that is built based upon a 6.2L/660 HP C7 Corvette Z06 LT4 supercharged V-8 engine and Z06 underpinnings. The GTZ is inspired by the Iso Grifo A3/C, a pure-bred 1964 Le Mans class winning endurance racer with sleek bodywork and riveting performance. The model was first seen as the ‘IsoRivolta Zagato Vision Gran Turismo’ in the racing video game known as ‘Gran Turismo Sport’ in 2017, and eventually, the real car made it’s first public debut at the 2021 Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace. The Italian car and motorbike manufacturer, ISO Rivolta has been active since 1938, and the GTZ is their first model since the Iso Grifo 96 of 1996. Before that, the company built the Lele IR6 from 1972-1974, the Lele 300/350 from 1969-1972, the Fidia IR10 from 1972-1974, the Fidia S4 300/350 from 1968-1972, the Grifo 7 Litri from 1968-1970, the Grifo IR8 from 1972-1974, the Grifo Lusso GL 300/340/350 from 1966-1972, the Grifo A3 L in 1964, the Rivolta IR 300/340/350 from 1963-1970, and their very first model, the Isetta, from 1953-1955. Also included is a number of other one-offs and concepts cars, however, the GTZ is truly one of the most interesting looking designs to wear the ISO name. The GTZ is said to be capable of 0–62 mph (0–100 km/h) in approximately 3.7 seconds, and a top speed of about 196mph. The GTZ features custom made wheels, lights, windows and doors, and Zagato’s workshop in Milan crafted all-new lightweight carbon-fiber body panels to lay over the original donor Z06 chassis, carrying over 0 panels from the Corvette. The interior features a fighter-jet inspired heads-up display which provides the driver with viral driving information, ventilated and heated power-operated memory seats, a Bose audio system, and much more.
