Over the years, the Huayra platform has evolved with multiple iterations, including the Huayra Roadster (100 units), the Huayra BC (20 units), BC Roadster (40 units), Imola (5 units), Huayra R (30 units), Huayra Tricolore (3 units), rhw Roadster HP (2 units) and the Huayra Codalunga (5 units). All production figures exclude prototypes. As for this special car shown here, it’s the 2020 Pagani Imola (chassis number ZA9H11EAYYSF76142), and not only is it the most powerful street-legal variant of the Huayra model, but it’s also 1 of only 6 examples that will ever be built worldwide including 1 prototype for the founder of Pagani Automobili, Mr. Horacio Pagani himself. The Imola gets it’s name from the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari (Imola Circuit) where the model went under rigorous testing, approximately 16,000km on the track at racing speed, or in other words, taking on the 24 Hours of Le Mans approximately 3 times. Some unique aerodynamic enhancements were added onto the Imola model including a large roof scoop, a seven-section diffuser, a massive fixed rear wing, and perhaps the most distinctive element, the obvious shark fin towards the rear of the car. The Imola was developed using a Carbo-Titanium HP62 G2 and Carbo-Triax HP62 monocoque with front and rear tubular steel subframes. This particular Imola is technically speaking the first example of it’s kind shown to the world (aside from the prototype), which was revealed in an introduction video in February of 2020, and was originally finished in a different specification than shown which was called ‘Imola Telos’, a mixture of grey paint and exposed carbon fiber with orange accents over an interior with black Alcantara and black/orange leather with orange stitching. Today, this car is finished in a brand new specification of Rosso Imola/crystal clear carbon fiber and gold accents with a black leather and Alcantara interior with red stitching.
