This car shown here is clearly a stunning example of a 2007 Spyker C8 Spyder finished in a very rare ‘Yellow Metallic’ over black leather interior specification. This car is considered to be a first-generation Spyder C8 Spyder, which was built from 2000 until 2009, after making it’s first ever appearance at the 2000 Birmingham Motor Show. This car wears chassis number 363103, and is said to be 1 of just around 4 total Spyker C8 Spyders painted in this color. The C8 Spyder was built as a result of the design work of a Dutch engineer named Maarten de Bruijn, who is also the co-founder of the Spyker Cars company alongside Dutch businessman, Victor Muller. The Dutch sports car marque ‘Spyker Cars’ was officially founded in the year 1999, with this model shown here, and the C8 Laviolette being the first models offered for sale by the company. On July 14 of 2005 it was announced that the C8 models would officially be approved for sale in the United States market, however, not many of them were built and sold overall, making it a truly unique piece of automotive history. The C8 Spyder is powered by an Audi 4.2L V8 engine that produced around 400 PS (294 kW; 395 hp), and one of the most unique aspects of this car is the fact that a number of the switches, gauges and elements are entirely aircraft-inspired, which gives it a look and feel unlike any other road car out there. Polished aluminum can be found almost everywhere on this car, and it’s simply one of the more under-appreciated, and often forgotten rare supercars of the 2000’s. Current day, @spykerenthusiast manages all Spyker car sales and handles all of the parts available for the world.
