This is the 1993 Vector W8 Twin-Turbo finished in silver, and notably, the only Vector W8 finished in silver out of the 17-total car production run. The Vector Motors Corporation was first founded in 1971 by American automotive engineer and businessman, Gerald Wiegert, where it was then simply a design house called Vehicle Design Force. Later on, the company name was changed to Vector Aeromotive, and subsequently, a number of wedge-shape cars would begin production across multiple different variants. Hate it or love it, Vector cars are a perfect combination of late 80’s and early 90’s nostalgic automotive design. The W8 model in specific is truly a unique machine, and while the car was designed by chief designer, Gerald Wiegert, the fine touches and refinements were handled by Vector’s head of engineering, David Kostka. Wiegert can be easily compared to other names in the automotive industry that set out to disrupt the playing field and construct their own car, such as John Delorean and Elon Musk. This specific Vector W8 was the second to last car built, and wears chassis 016. Our vector research is extensive and includes data on the 1996 Vector M12, the 1976 Vector W2 prototype, the 2007 Vector Avtech WX-8 HPV, the 1999 Vector SRV8, a stunning 1991 Vector W8, The 1993 Vector Avtech WX-3R and 1993 Vector Avtech WX-3 prototypes, and the unique 1996 Vector M12 ‘American Anthem’.
